The rate at which your body burns calories is known as your metabolism – the higher your metabolic rate , the more calories you will burn. Here are some ways to increase your metabolism for Fast Weight Loss.
Get Active with High Intensity Exercise .
To increase your metabolism you need to get active with exercise . I recommend that you choose high intensity exercise – this could be cardio or weight training, high intensity is better. The greater the intensity, the more calories you burn during the exercise . Also , after your workout is finished , your metabolism remains elevated for many hours – therefore burning more energy at rest. For high intensity cardio, I recommend interval training, in other words high intensity burst followed by less than 60 seconds rest followed by another high intensity burst and so on. Examples include stair climbing, sprinting , use a jump rope , or on a bicycle . For high intensity weight training, I recommend using compound exercises (such as the squat, deadlift, chin-up, etc.) and keeping rest periods between sets to less than 60 seconds . A huge benefit of resistance training is that you increase your lean muscle mass and this in turn raises your metabolism , i.e. you burn more energy at rest . In summary , both high intensity cardio and high intensity resistance training are unbelievable for Fast Weight Loss.
Eat modest Portions Regularly .
If you alter your nutrition plan from your basic three large meals every day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) to 5 – 6 smaller meals every 2-3 hours , you will preserve a high metabolism 24 hours a day. It is important to make sure that these smaller meals contain each of the correct nutrients in the right quantities – i.e. 1 portion of lean protein, 1 – 2 portions of complex carbohydrates and a small amount of healthy fat. By eating this way, you will avoid confusing your body, ensuring that your body performs at its optimum and reserve energy for other uses . To make sure that you eat smaller portions, you should use smaller plates and avoid the temptation of seconds! By eating this way , it will support your Fast Weight Loss plan.
Eliminate Restrictive Diets.
Minimising your calories through restrictive diets is not the right thing to do for many reasons; not least you will reduce your metabolism significantly (and also leave you weak and tired ). Restricting your calorie intake puts your body into starvation mode causing you to conserve energy throughout the day , which in turn reduces your metabolism . Your whole body basically slows down . The right nutrition plan to support rapid fat loss is to eat small portions regularly throughout the day. By eating in this manner , your body will become much more efficient at burning your energy.
